Registration is open for Howl-O-Walkoween supporting FWACC
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 6, 2026) – Registration has opened for the annual Howl-O-Walkoween fundraising event. This fun twist on your normal Halloween costume contest is pet friendly! Bring your social pets along or join us as a spectator. Either way it is sure to be a tail-wagging, good time.
Saturday, October 17th, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control will be hosting the annual Howl-O-Walkoween at Promenade Park pavilion, kicking off the Fright Night festivities downtown. Howl-O-Walkoween supports the humane education programs and community outreach for the shelter. The Howl event is family oriented and social pet friendly. Guests can enjoy the raffles, come hungry and visit the food trucks, say hello to our vendors, enjoy free professional pet and family portraits, and see lots of fun costumes.
Registration for the costume contest can be found on the FWACC website event page and is just $30 for the entire family. There are 4 categories for costume prizes at the event and an online contest for those who may not have social pets they can bring out. Participation in the costume contest is not required to enjoy the fun, and general admission is free.
