The Allen County Coroner has identified Jacob Gordon Klotz as the 22nd Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified and made notifications to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was found shot in the lot of Physicians Urgent Care at 920 East Coliseum Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at about 03:36 hours, Saturday, August 08, 2026. He has been positively identified as Jacob Gordon Klotz, male, White, age 27, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was transported to a local hospital here he later died.
Jacob Gordon Klotz’s Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Jacob Gordon Klotz is the 22nd Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, Purdue University Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
