The Allen County Coroner has identified Tayshawn Amere Ross as the 21st Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 28, 2026) – On July 24, 2026, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of the death of an individual that had been involved in an investigation in th 2500 Block of South Wayne Avenue, Fort Wayne, Allen County Indiana, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He has been positively identified as Tayshawn Amere Ross, male, Black, age 10, of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Tayshawn Amere Ross’ Cause of Death is Complications of Abusive Head Trauma, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Tayshawn Amere Ross is the 21st Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
