Young Artists Live! Returns to Ruth Koomler Art Gallery
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 23, 2026) – The Ruth Koomler Art Gallery will celebrate the creativity of the area’s young artists during Young Artists Live! on Saturday, August 1.

From 1:00-3:00 pm, young artists ages 17 and under will create artwork live under tents in the parking lot at the corner of Jefferson and Broadway while interacting with visitors. Guests and view and purchase original artwork created by these talented young artists.
“Young Artists Live! is about giving young people the opportunity to experience what it feels like to be a working artist,” said gallery owner Ruth Koomler. “We want to encourage creativity, build confidence, and celebrate the incredible talent of the next generation.

The event features artists working in a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, fiber arts, photography, mixed media, and more.
Now in its third year, Young Artists Live! grew out of a desire to give young creatives a place to create, exhibit, and sell their work while connecting with the community. Last years event became one of the gallery’s summer highlights.
