Neighborhood infrastructure projects receive approval at City Council

Two more projects led by the City of Fort Wayne’s Public Works Division received Committee Session approval from City Council this evening.

Neighborhood infrastructure projects receive approval at City Council
Commitment to investing in neighborhoods continues

Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 21, 2026) – Fort Wayne’s investment in neighborhood infrastructure improvements continues. Two more projects led by the City of Fort Wayne’s Public Works Division received Committee Session approval from City Council this evening. Final approval will occur at a future meeting.

  • Improvement of residential asphalt streets through asphalt crack sealing – A unit price of $66,950 with a not exceed amount of $225,000 with completion anticipated for this construction season. Work will take place in all six City Council districts.
  • Alley improvements in the areas of Kinsmoor Avenue, Nuttman Avenue, Beaver Avenue, and Broadway – $190,890 with completion expected this construction season.

Under Mayor Sharon Tucker’s leadership the City is investing $37 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements this year.
