
On July 18, 2026, at 1807 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to the area of West Jefferson Boulevard and Catalpa Street to a motorcycle accident.

On Saturday July 18th 2026 just after 6 pm officers were dispatched to the area of West Jefferson and Catalpa on a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Several callers stated a motorcycle left the roadway and crashed. When officers arrived they located the motorcycle partially up the side of the railway overpass. The rider, an adult male, was taken to a local area hospital in life threatening condition. Because of the severity of his injuries, the Fort Wayne Police Fatal Crash Team responded to the scene. At this time Speed is believed to be a factor. Traffic on West Jefferson has since been re-opened.
