The Allen County Coroner has identified Jayla Raquel Davis as the 18th Allen County Homicide in 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 6, 2026) – The autopsy has been completed, and notification has been made to the next of kin for the individual found deceased in the 1100 block of Greene Street, in Fort Wayne, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 03:43 hours.
Identified was Jayla Raquel Davis, a female, Black, 18 years of age, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, who was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
Jayla Raquel Davis’s Cause of Death has been determined to be Gunshot Wound of Head, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Jayla Raquel Davis is the 18th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, The Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
