Lunch on the Square Postponed to Thursday, July 9 Due to Extreme Heat
Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 30, 2026) — Downtown Fort Wayne has postponed Lunch on the Square, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 2, to Thursday, July 9, due to the forecasted extreme heat.
The decision was made to ensure the safety of attendees, food truck operators, musicians, sponsors, volunteers, and staff. The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the area, with dangerously hot conditions expected. Community members are encouraged to stay cool, remain well hydrated, and take appropriate precautions when spending time outdoors.
Lunch on the Square will return on Thursday, July 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Freimann Square.
