On Friday, July 3, 2026, most Allen County Offices will close to observe Independence Day or the Fourth of July and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Most County Offices will CLOSE Friday, July 3rd.

Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 26, 2026) – On Friday, July 3, 2026, most Allen County Offices will close to observe Independence Day or the Fourth of July and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, July 6, 2026.

County offices that provide 24/7 functions do not close for holidays. Some of these include the Sheriff’s Department, Community Corrections, Allen County Juvenile Center, Youth Services Center, and the Highway Department. If you are unsure if a county department is open, contact them directly. County phone numbers are listed on the website at www.allencounty.in.gov.

The Allen County Board of Commissioners’ Legislative Session will not meet on July 3, 2026. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the County Commissioners is Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Room 035 of Citizens Square.
