
The City of Fort Wayne’s Department of Neighborhoods, in partnership with Indiana Michigan Power Foundation, has awarded 11 “Sparked at Inspire” micro-grants for up to $1500 each.

“Sparked at Inspire” Neighborhood Grants Awarded
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 29, 2026) – The City of Fort Wayne’s Department of Neighborhoods, in partnership with Indiana Michigan Power Foundation, has awarded 11 “Sparked at Inspire” micro-grants for up to $1500 each.
The program was created to help neighborhood association leaders implement projects that were developed in response to information presented during the City of Fort Wayne’s annual Inspire Neighborhoods Conference. The fourth Inspire Neighborhoods Conference will take place this year on September 11 at Electric Works. Residents can learn more at InspireFortWayne.com.
This program has been generously sponsored by the Indiana Michigan Power Foundation, which has been a past supporter of the Inspire Neighborhoods Conference and neighborhood activation efforts.
Examples of funded projects include legal support, marketing materials, and event and project supplies. A complete list of all the 2026 Sparked at Inspire grants is below.

- Bloomingdale – nonprofit status designation and newsletters
- Concordia Gardens – website design and membership
- East Central – postcard mailers and food for a marketing event
- Eastside – nonprofit status designation, membership cards, and event supplies
- Harvester – marketing materials and merchandise
- Historic Oakdale – native flowers for street entrance gardens
- Memorial Park – marketing materials, merchandise, food, and supplies for resident workshop
- Packard Area Planning Alliance – 100 native trees for residential tree planting program
- Renaissance Pointe – nonprofit status designation
- Springfield Community – legal support for HOA covenant review
- Tamera Place – nonprofit status designation.
