The Fort Wayne Police Department has arrested Ya Sin of Fort Wayne, in connection with a homicide in the 4500 block of Bowser Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Details/Summary:
On Tuesday May 5, 2026 at approximately 01:22 hours, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 4500 block of Bowser Ave. in regards to a disturbance. When Officers arrived they located an unresponsive male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased. Detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Unit responded and conducted a criminal investigation.
During the investigation, Ya Sin 47 year old male Asian was identified as a suspect in the shooting. Ya Sin was located and arrested. He was charged with Murder, Kidnapping and Resisting Law Enforcement while Fleeing in a vehicle.
