Foellinger Foundation and Indiana Youth Institute to Present the 2026 IYI’s State of the Child Allen County
Fort Wayne, Indiana (April 23, 2026) – Foellinger Foundation and Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) will present the 2026 IYI’s State of the Child Allen County event on April 29, 2026, at McMillen Family Pavilion at Franke Park.
At the event, Indiana Youth Institute representatives will share the latest data on the well-being and outcomes of children in Allen County. The data is published in the 2026 KIDS COUNT® Data Book, a trusted, research-based assessment of child well-being across Indiana. This information will help community members in Allen County who support, influence, or care about young people’s well-being to better understand where the community is making progress and where additional focus is needed. Launched in February 2026, the Data Book examines the overall well-being of Hoosier youth across four domains: Family & Community, Health, Education, and Economic Well-being.
The event will also feature an interactive panel with local leaders, including:
- Tami Silverman, Moderator; President and CEO, Indiana Youth Institute
- Susan Baier; Executive Director, Allen County Public Library
- Mark Daniel, Ph.D.; Superintendent, Fort Wayne Community Schools
- Drew Williams; CEO, Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana
