The Allen County Coroner has identified Damien Lamarr Jacobs as the 2nd Allen County Homicide in 2026 which occurred on January 28, 2026.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified, and made notification to the next of kin of the deceased individual that was found in the parking lot behind 6120 Holgate Drive, in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana, at about 20:30 hours, Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He has been positively identified as Damien Lamar Jacobs, male, Black, age 19, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a Man Down in the parking lot and found Damien Lamarr Jacobs unresponsive. The decedent was pronounced dead at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
Damien Lamarr Jacobs’s Cause of Death is Gunshot Wound, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Damien Lamar Jacobs is the 2nd Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2026.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
