FWPD: California stalking fugitive arrested in the Fort

On April 11, 2026, the FWPD Street Crimes Unit located Michelle Dick, a fugitive wanted in California for stalking, at a local hotel in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Warrant Suspect Arrested in Fort Wayne, Awaiting Extradition to California On Friday, April 10, 2026, the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) was contacted regarding Michelle Dick, a wanted suspect who had fled to Fort Wayne.

Michelle was wanted on a full extradition warrant out of California for stalking. According to authorities, on March 25, 2026, Michelle located Lindsey Buckingham, former guitarist for Fleetwood Mac, in Santa Monica, California, while he was attending an appointment. It was reported that upon locating him, she threw an unknown substance on him and damaged his vehicle before fleeing the area.

It was advised that Michelle had been stalking Buckingham and his family for several years and in 2024, Mr. Buckingham obtained a restraining order against Michelle following years of harassment. Following the encounter, Michelle fled California and was believed to have traveled to Fort Wayne.

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, the FWPD Street Crimes Unit (SCU), working in coordination with assisting agencies, located Michelle at a local hotel in Fort Wayne. She was taken into custody without incident on the outstanding warrant.

Michelle is currently being held pending extradition back to California.
