On March 21, 2026, at 1752 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3700 block of Nevada Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fort Wayne Fire Department Engine 14 arrived to find a one floor house with smoke issuing from the house. Firefighters entered the house and extinguished a fire in the kitchen.
The house had been searched for possible victims but none were found. One cat was found deceased inside the home. One person, however, was treated at the scene by TRAA Medics.

Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
