On March 16, 2026, at 0611 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a fire at the Tredway Pools Plus, 8301 Lima Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
FWFD Alarm Code: 704
Time of Alarm: 0611 hours
On Scene: 0615 hours
Under Control: 0654 hours
The FWFD were alerted by an on-scene Fort Wayne Police officer who reported the building was full of smoke. Fire Engine 15 and Ladder Truck 15 crews arrived and went inside to make sure there were no occupants in the building. A search for the fire found it in a bathroom ceiling area. Other fire crews responded to support the first firefighters. The fire was declared under control in 43 minutes from the time of the alarm.
Crews will continue to work for a period of time chasing hot spots through insulation in the ceiling.
The fire was still under investigation at this time.
