Fort Wayne Philharmonic Announces 2026/27 Season
Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 17, 2026) — The Fort Wayne Philharmonic proudly announces the highly anticipated 2026/27 Season. The season features an eight-concert Masterworks series, the popular six-concert Pops Series, and the familiar Freimann and Family Series. The Coffee Concert Series continues for its third season and the Innovation Series will move to a brand-new venue at Pearl Arts. Subscription packages are available for purchase online at fwphil.org. Single tickets will go on sale Aug. 4, 2026.

MASTERWORKS SERIES
The 2026/27 Masterworks Series opens with 20th and 21st century works, with Errollyn Wallen’s Cello Concerto featuring cellist Madelyn Kowalski, followed by Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2. The series continues with works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Dvorak, and Mahler. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Chorus features in Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius. Fort Wayne native Patrick O’Malley’s Cello Concerto premieres in April. The series concludes with The Planets and A Closing Night of Romance, with pieces by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev.POPS SERIES
The Pops Series delivers classic hits, opening with The Music of Billy Joel featuring vocalist Tony DeSare, and bringing the music of Led Zeppelin to the orchestra hall in the spring. Audiences won’t want to miss the sequel to last season’s Home Alone in Concert, with Home Alone 2: Lost in New York welcoming in the 2026 holiday season in November, followed by the beloved annual tradition of Holiday Pops in December. The magic continues with Magical Music of Harry Potter with conductor Enrico Lopez-Yanez in an interactive concert experience. The Pops series closes with Disney in Concert, featuring well-loved music and high-resolution film clips from some of the best-known films ever, including Frozen, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Aladdin, and more!FREIMANN SERIES
The Freimann Series welcomes its first full season in the newly opened historic Philharmonic Center. The series invites audiences to delve into works hand-selected by the musicians themselves in an intimate concert experience. This season’s Freimann series features works by composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and Schubert.COFFEE CONCERT SERIES
The Coffee Concert Series offers a shortened morning concert experience featuring works by Beethoven, Dvořák and Tchaikovsky. This unique series not only provides a delightful mid-morning musical interlude but also includes complimentary coffee and donuts after each performance, a Fort Wayne Philharmonic Coffee Series mug, and an exclusive opportunity for patrons to engage in discussions with the guest artists and musicians themselves. This distinctive series features classical music with a twist! The Innovation Series strives to create a more casual environment for classical music lovers. The Family Series will foster your family’s love of music as we become musical explorers together for the 26/27 season! Tailored to ignite the imaginations of kids aged 2-12, these sensory-friendly daytime concerts provide a joyful introduction to the world of orchestral magic. Audiences young and old will enjoy these one-hour, family-friendly concerts that feature local guest artists, pre-concert activities in the lobby led by community partners, and timeless classic and contemporary music compositions where children can explore the wonders of classical music. Thanks to the generosity of Judy Pursley and Franklin Electric, this series remains free for a third season. Registration for the Family Series concerts opens 30 days prior to each performance.
