On February 26, 2026, at 1951 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 9900 block of Snowstar Place, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1957 hours
Under Control: 2011 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from the entire roof area. Crews were met by an occupant who reported that all occupants and one dog had safely self-evacuated. Crews entered the house and found a fire in the ceiling above a bathroom and bedroom. Crews worked to control the fire then spent hours checking and looking for further hot spots.
The fire is still under investigation.
