On February 9, 2026, at 1417 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 6700 block of Broadway, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1417 hours
On Scene: 1419 hours
Under Control: 1451 hours
FWFD Engine 5 arrived first and reported fire and smoke from windows on the front of the house. Several fire crews extinguished fire on the exterior and interior of this building. Crews also searched three apartments in the structure for possible occupants. Several crews were required to perform overhaul due to extensive fire damage.
No persons were in the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries occurred during this incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
