
On February 7, 2026, at 2320 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported kitchen fire at the Coral Club Apartments in the 800 block of Dolphin Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 2332 hours
The first firefighters on the scene observed smoke issuing from a second-story window. A handline was stretched to the second-floor to aggressively extinguish a kitchen fire. The fire was contained to a single apartment. There was a working smoke detector which had alerted the occupant.
The fire was accidental in nature and was cleared by investigators. The cause was determined to be food left on a stove burner.
One adult had self-evacuated prior to the fire departments arrival.
