On February 2, 2026, at 0800 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 900 block of Irene Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
FWFD Alarm Code: 704
Time of Alarm: 0800 hours
On Scene: 0805 hours
Under Control: 0837 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene and found smoke and fire coming from the structure. Crews stretched an attack line for fire attack. The fire was extinguished without incident.
No injuries were reported despite cold and icy conditions.
A search of the structure was completed and crews found one deceased dog in the structure.

Water Damage: Moderate
Smoke Damage: Moderate
