On January 23, 2026, at 1457 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 7200 block of Shady Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1459 hours
Under Control: 1511 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported smoke issuing from the front of the house. A fire was extinguished in the attached garage.
The home was searched for any victims, but none were located. The sole occupant had discovered the fire and self-evacuated. The occupant was checked for injury by the Three Rivers Ambulance crew at the scene.
No injuries occurred at this incident.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
