Right to Life of Northeast Indiana Welcomes Family First Workplace Policy

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 6, 2025) — Right to Life of Northeast Indiana welcomes the announcement of expanded paid parental leave for state employees. This policy is a meaningful step forward in building a culture that values mothers, fathers, and the precious lives they welcome into the world.

By providing six weeks of paid childbirth recovery leave and up to eight weeks following a C-section, along with paid parental leave for both birth and adoptive parents, the state is recognizing the real physical, emotional, and financial pressures families face during the earliest and most vulnerable days of a child’s life.

Executive Director Nick Boratenski shared:

“Indiana sends a powerful message with this order: families matter, mothers matter, and every child’s life has dignity. These policies reflect the compassion and commitment that a true pro-life culture requires, and we commend Governor Braun for taking decisive action that gives parents the time, healing, and stability they need.”

As Indiana continues to consider ways to better support pregnant women and families, this expanded leave policy contributes positively to that broader effort. Right to Life of Northeast Indiana encourages employers across the state to consider how similar benefits could strengthen their own workplaces and provide critical support to the families they serve.

Right to Life of Northeast Indiana, based in Fort Wayne Ind., operates out of a common concern for the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.
