Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred during a concert at Piere’s Entertainment Center at approximately 1:42 a.m. Security personnel alerted officers to a disturbance inside the venue. Upon entering, officers located an adult male suffering from an apparent knife wound. Due to the large crowd, additional officers were requested to help secure the scene.
A second adult male with knife-related injuries was also located. Officers provided medical aid to both individuals until EMS arrived. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other was transported to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
The Fort Wayne Police Homicide Unit, Crime Scene Management, and the Air Support Unit were called to assist with the investigation. Detectives are reviewing security footage and interviewing witnesses. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD Homicide Unit, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
