
On November 18, 2025, at 1306 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department’s Hazardous Response Team was dispatched to a chemical spill at the Webb Chemical facility located at 702 Hayden Street, in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Webb Chemical employees and FWFD crews contained the spilled chemical to the property. Fort Wayne Citry Utilities assisted at the scene to ensure containment of the spill and the Fort Wayne Police Department set up a 300-foot perimeter around the incident as a precaution. An alert was texted to phones within a 1/2-mile radius advising anyone in that area to shelter in place for 1 to 2 hours. The incident was brought under control at approximately 1500 hours. Firefighters and City Utilities remain on the scene to supervise clean up procedures.
