FWPD: Arrest Warrant Served, Freimann Square

On November 5, 2025, at 1411 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a phone call from a party who wished to remain anonymous, stating that an individual with an arrest warrant, Tyrone Hughes, was in Freimann Square.

Suspect Arrested: Tyrone Hughes, age 27

  3. Battery to a Public Safey Official, Felony Level 5
  4. Battery to a Public Safey Official, Felony Level 5
  5. Battery to a Public Safey Official, Felony Level 5
  6. Failure to Appear Criminal Mischief, Class B Misdemeanor

Details/Summary:

On 11/2/25 at approximately 2:11 pm, dispatch received a call from a party who wished to remain anonymous, stating that an individual with an arrest warrant, Tyrone Hughes, is in Freimann Square. The caller further provided a detailed description of Hughes including the clothing he was currently wearing. A check of records showed Hughes to have two active arrest warrants, one for Probation Violation for four counts of battery to a public safety official, a level 5 felony, and one for failure to appear for class B misdemeanor criminal mischief. Responding officer located Hughes and took him into custody. He was then transported to the Allen County Lock-up where he was booked for his warrants.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
