Two upcoming projects could cause traffic delays along St. Joe Center Road and Covington Road.

Upcoming projects that may delay traffic

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 14, 2025) – Two upcoming projects could cause traffic delays:

  • On St. Joe Center Road, between Maplecrest Road and Jonathon Oaks Boulevard, a new passing blister will be installed as part of a private development project. During construction, intermittent flagging will occur. Work is scheduled for October 15 – 22.
  • Covington Road will be resurfaced between South Hadley Road and Woodcroft Lane October 16 – 30. During construction, intermittent flagging and possible short-term closures may occur. A new traffic pattern will be implemented upon completion of the work and drivers should be on the lookout for new signage and pavement markings.

As a service to the community, the City of Fort Wayne Public Works Division provides information about lane restrictions and road closures that have been submitted to us, whether or not they are City of Fort Wayne projects.
