Time: 2000 hours
Details/Summary:
On October 9, 2025, at around 8:00pm, Fort Wayne Police Department received a call for service in the area of 2200 Broadmoor Ave, regarding some type of dispute involving neighbors. When officers arrived in the area, a subject known to be involved, left in a vehicle. FWPD Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, with the subject failing to pull over and lead Officers on a short pursuit around the addition. The subject then went back to the residence and entered the home, where he then barricaded himself inside. Multiple attempts were exhausted to try and get the subject to come out of the home peacefully; however, all were refused. Due to previous interactions and threats made by the subject, Emergency Services, Crisis Response Team, and the Air Support Unit were dispatched to the scene around 9:50pm.
Several more attempts were made to contact the subject by loud hailing and phone calls. He continued to refuse all commands to exit the residence peacefully. Around 12:58am Emergency Services team deployed chemical irritants into the home, which successfully motivated the male to surrender. He was taken into custody without further incident.
