FWPD: Critical Injury Motorcycle Accident, East State Boulevard and Tonawanda Trail

Details/Summary:

On October 5, 2025, at approximately at 7:44pm, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of East State Blvd and Tonawanda Trail, on reports of a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, Officers located a motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries, and a vehicle with heavy damage. Medics arrived shortly after and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Due to the severity of the injuries, the FWPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team was paged and has taken over the investigation.

The FWPD Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) with the assistance of the Air Support Unit (ASU) is documenting the scene. The roadway is expected to remain closed while the investigation continues. At this time, speed is believed to be a factor in this crash.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
