On December 12, 2019, at 2246 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1900 block of Spring Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 2247 hours
Under Control: 2313 hours
Firefighters arrived in one minute and found heavy smoke coming from the second floor windows and roof of the structure. Crews immediately entered the house and started a search of the residence and cleared it of occupants. The fire was extinguished and under control in 26 minutes.
Fire crews were able to find and remove four pets from the structure but two did perish.
The fire is under investigation.
