On February 14, 2019, at 0346 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 600 block of Laddie Lane, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 0352 hours
Under Control: 0424 hours
Early this morning the occupant smelled smoke coming from his garage before it tripped his smoke alarm. Firefighters arrived at 0352 hours and found smoke from the garage and advanced thru the house to limit fire spread. The fire in the garage was quickly knocked down, but a loft made final extinguishment difficult. The overhead garage door was removed for access and a collector car was pushed out before the fire was extinguished 32 minutes after arrival.
The occupant safely self-evacuated and his dog was found safe in the house and reunited with his owner.
The occupant was already outside.
