On November 10, 2020, at 2205 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 4400 block of Plaza Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

A fire was called into 9-1-1 by a neighbor stating the back of house was on fire and not known if the home was occupied. Firefighters arrived to find active fire on the back side of the small two-story house extending into attic. A simultaneous search revealed no one in the home. The fire was extinguished in less than 20 minutes.
The fire caused extensive damage to the electrical meter and Indiana Michigan Power had to cut power at the pole.
The fire is under investigation.
