FWFD: House Fire, 2805 Fairfield Avenue

On August 5, 2020, at 1545 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 2805 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1545 hours
On Scene: 1546 hours
Under Control: 1600 hours

The first firefighters on the scene arrived to find a large amount of fire coming from a 2-car detached garage close to a residence. Additionally there was a vehicle in the drive on fire. Lines were pulled to protect exposure and put out garage and vehicle fire. Another vehicle in the drive also had minor heat damage. Indiana Michigan Power assisted in helping with a power line that had burned off house.

The occupant of the residence stated they looked out there window and saw flames shooting from the garage and self-evacuated the residential structure. The residence received minor damage.

The fire was deemed to be intentionally set and is being investigated by the FWFD’s Arson Investigators.

This house is used as the office for Pancner Psychiatric Associates.
