
On July 2, 2020, at 0314 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3100 block of Plaza Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0314 hours
On Scene: 0317 hours
Under Control: 0341 hours
On arrival, firefighters found moderate fire conditions at the rear of the house. They made an aggressive offensive attack to extinguish the fire. There was moderate fire damage throughout the house and heavy smoke damage.
Everyone was able to self evacuate, with one resident being transported to a local hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation. One firefighter was also treated for minor burns.
The fire started in the kitchen area of the home.
The Fire Department was dispatched to the same address at 1335 hours and found heavy fire and smoke coming from structure. The fire was extinguished and extensive overhaul was performed. Due to high temperatures multiple crews were rotated in to assist in the overhaul efforts.
