
On June 16, 2020, at 2141 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the area of Gay and Pontiac Streets, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 2141 hours
On Scene: 2144 hours
Under Control: 2214 hours
FWFD Engine 11 arrived to find fire involvement from the front of a structure in 2600 block of Gay Street. An aggressive fire attack along with a search for victims was started. A victim was quickly found but was pronounced deceased by medics on the scene. Additionally one dog was found deceased in the structure. The fire was extinguished and is under investigation. One firefighter had minor injuries.
