On April 29, 2020, at 1852 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1200 block of West Oakdale Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 1916 hours
Firefighters discovered upon their arrival that the rear porch and roof were involved in fire and starting to extend to the neighboring house. The first arriving fire crews quickly searched the home for victims and extinguished the fire. Extensive overhaul by multiple crews was required to limit fire damage to the home.
No injuries occurred at this incident.
The fire was determined to be caused by discarded smoking materials.
