On October 22, 2022, at 0332 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 1900 block of Bequette Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 0358 hours
Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames showing from the second-floor apartment. Crews were met with occupants of fire apartment who stated everyone was out of structure. Firefighters pulled hand lines to the second-floor apartment to extinguish fire on that floor and in the attic spaces. Fire crews searched the other apartments and found no one inside. Utilities to the structure were shut off and and crews performed salvage of first-floor for water damage. Fire crews also ventilated the structure.
Fire investigators responded and cleared caused and origin of fire.
The fire was under control in less than 30 minutes with no injuries reported.
