On October 15, 2022, at 1500 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 2700 block of Westward Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1500 hours
On Scene: 1504 hours
Under Control: 1532 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire blowing out of multiple openings on first floor. Fire crews pulled handlines to extinguish fire and perform a search of residence. Fire crews performed ventilation and cut utilities. Crews encountered heavy fire on first-floor and extinguished all fire throughout the structure. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes.
Fire crews found no victims inside the structure and all pets escaped prior arrival. One occupant self-evacuated prior to arrival.
The fire was investigated and cleared by Investigators.
