On October 14, 2022, at 0128 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire in the Dupont Lakes Apartments Fire, 9826 Dupont Lakes Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0128 hours
On Scene: 0133 hours
Under Control: 0230 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported a large volume of fire on the third floor and attic of the structure. Firefighters began to attack the fire and simultaneously evacuate everyone from the building. Once all parties were evacuated, firefighters began working to extinguish the fire. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately one hour and will be working throughout the morning to completely extinguish the blaze and conduct an investigation.
Approximately 50 displaced residents gathered in the community room to receive assistance from the American Red Cross and property management.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
One resident was treated and transported by TRAA, no additional injuries were reported.
