
On August 6, 2022, at 2151 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department, was dispatched to a house fire in the 3500 block of New Haven Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 2154 hours
Under Control: 2232 hours
Upon arrival, the first units found smoke and fire coming from the first floor of the home. Crews immediately went to work to extinguish the flames and confirm that all family members had made it out safely. The fire had spread to the second-floor and firefighters worked hard to find all of the areas of hidden fire. The fire was placed under control about 40 minutes after arrival.
All of the occupants had self-evacuated the home. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
