FWFD: Mobile Home Fire, 200 block Country Forest Drive

On August 1, 2022, at 0351 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 200 block of Country Forest Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0351 hours
On Scene: 0359 hours
Under Control: 0419 hours

Firefighters arrived to find fire consuming the front portion of the home. Firefighters controlled the blaze in approximately 20 minutes. All occupants were home at the time of the fire and were able to self-evacuate with no injuries.

Once the fire was extinguished, FWFD Investigators began their investigation. A cause was not released at the time of this report.

The resident stated that he had just purchased new smoke detectors but had not installed them yet, no working smoke detectors were present in the home.

No injuries were reported at the fire but one firefighter did suffer a medical issue unrelated to the fire. He was treated at the scene and released.
