On July 4, 2022, at 2248 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1000 block of Blue Stone Court, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 2251 hours
Under Control: 2330 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a two-story house with fire on the back exterior of the home. The fire was extending into the attic spaces and roof of the home. Crews used multiple hose lines and had to cut open the roof and pull down ceilings to gain access to the fire to extinguish it. The home required heavy overhaul to make sure all the fire extension was found and extinguished.
A firefighter was injured on scene and transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Fire Investigators are still working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
