On April 24, 2022, at 1915 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 800 block of Home Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1915 hours
On Scene: 1917 hours
Under Control: 1926 hours
The first firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the second-floor windows of the home. The home was occupied at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes.
An occupant was able to self-evacuate without injuries. Firefighters entered the structure to extinguish the fire and search for additional victims, but found none.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
