Traffic Alert: Engle Road closed between Ardmore and Bluffton until 9/17/*2025

Beginning today, Engle Road will be fully closed between Ardmore Avenue and Bluffton Road at the railroad tracks due to emergency repairs by Norfolk Southern.

Engle Road closed between Ardmore Avenue and Bluffton Road until September 17

Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 9, 2025) — Beginning today, Engle Road will be fully closed between Ardmore Avenue and Bluffton Road at the railroad tracks due to emergency repairs by Norfolk Southern. The road is expected to be reopened by the end of the day Wednesday, September 17. A detour route utilizing Ardmore Avenue, Nuttman Avenue, Brooklyn Avenue and Bluffton Road will be posted.

As a service to the community, the City of Fort Wayne Public Works Division provides information about lane restrictions and road closures that have been submitted to us, whether or not they are City of Fort Wayne projects.
