
On December 19, 2023, at 1723 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to an apartment fire in the 4400 block of South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1723 hours
On Scene: 1725 hours
Under Control: 1737 hours
Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire on the rear of a two-apartment building. Crews immediately extinguished the fire and conducted a search to ensure there were no other victims. The adjacent apartment received very little damage.
The lone occupant of the fire apartment was in the front yard suffering from moderate fire-related injuries. That victim was transported to a local hospital.
There were no injuries to firefighters, and the cause remains under investigation.
