On October 17, 2023, at 0029 ours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 5000 block of Rothman Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 0020 hours
On Scene: 0024 hours
Under Control: 0059 hours
Firefighters arrived to find fire showing from multiple floors and areas of the house. Crews pulled lines and met with the occupants who stated all persons were already evacuated from the structure. Multiple crews made entry into the house and went to both floors and extinguished the fire. The fire was well involved at this time and parts of the house started to collapse. Crews continued working until the fire was completely contained.
Crews will remain on the scene throughout the night to keep an eye on the home.
Fire investigators are working the scene at this time.
