
On September 20, 2023, at 1638 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1400 block of Wabash Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1638 hours
On Scene: 1642 hours
Under Control: 1656 hours
Neighbors had seen the smoke and fire from the home and called 9-1-1. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found a small two-story house with heavy smoke coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters made entry into the home finding fire and heavy smoke in two rooms at the back corner of the residence. The fire was extinguished and searches were conducted. No occupants were found inside the home.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
