FWFD: Structure Fire, 6000 block North Oak Boulevard

On July 6, 2023, at 0309 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 6000 block of North Oak Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 0309 hours
On Scene: 0314 hours
Under Control: 0334 hours

Crews arrived at the office building in the Village of North Oak and found fire on the exterior of the structure. After extinguishing the visible fire it was found that it had extended into the attic area of the structure. Firefighters ventilated the roof and gave the interior crew the ability to gain access via an interior staircase to extinguish the fire. The fire was placed under control in about 20 minutes.

Crews will remain on scene for several hours to overhaul and investigate.
