
On May 21, 2023, at 0306 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1700 block of Neuhaus Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 0306 hours
On Scene: 0309 hours
Under Control: 0331 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find smoke showing from the attic spaces and interior of the home. Crews made entry to find a working fire in a bedroom inside the home. Crews extinguished the fire and proceeded to overhaul the structure looking for hidden fires, as well as ventilating the home of smoke that had filled the house.
The occupant and her 2 dogs self-evacuated prior to FWFD arrival.
The Fire was brought under control in just under 20 minutes.
Fire investigators are still in the process of determining the cause of the fire.
