
On March 6, 2023, at 1054 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 2500 block of Culpepper Curt, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1054 hours
On Scene: 1056 hours
Under Control: 1106 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke showing from the garage. Firefighters entered the structure to extinguish the fire and search for anyone that may still be inside the home. Firefighters extinguished the fire in approximately 10 minutes and no injuries were reported.
No smoke detectors were alarming on arrival. The FWFD would like to remind everyone to check their smoke detectors regularly and if you are in need of one, call 3-1-1 to be put in contact with the department for information on receiving them free of charge.
The only occupant managed to escape the fire without injury.
